Incoterms 2010 – main changes - Incoterms 2010, has been effective from the 1st of January 2011. Incoterms are now divided into two instead of the previous 4 categories. 1) Terms for any Mode or Modes of Transport or 2) Terms for Sea and Inland Waterway Transport. There is also a reduction of the existing thirteen Incoterms to eleven. DAF, DES, DEQ and DDU have been deleted and two new Incoterems, DAT and DAP are introduced.

Incoterms 2000 - "Ex Works" means the seller delivers when he places the goods at the disposal of the buyer at the seller's premises or another named place (i.e. works, factory, warehouse, etc.) not cleared for export and not loaded on any collecting vehicle. This term thus represents the minimum obligation for the seller, and the buyer has to bear all costs and risks involved in taking the goods from the seller's premises.
